National Green
Lodging & Hospitality Conference Coming to Orlando

Greener Roads
Ahead
is the theme
chosen for the 2nd Annual National Green Lodging and
Hospitality Conference, which will take place December 9-11,
2009 at the luxurious
Rosen Centre Hotel
in Orlando, Florida. Hosted by the University of Florida’s TREEO
Center, the conference will “take the mystery out of going
green, and promises to make the business case that helping save
the environment will also boost the bottom line.”
On the opening
day of the conference,
EcoGreenHotel
President Scott Parisi, CHA, will be a panelist during a general
session on the topic of The Art and Science of
Environmentally Preferable Purchasing. He will be part of a
panel that includes representatives from Proctor & Gamble, Green
Seal Inc., and Calyx – Sustainable Hotel and Tourism
Consultants.
“I am really
looking forward to participating in the panel discussion and
sharing how I choose the sustainable products that I promote
through the EcoGreenHotel Store,” Parisi said. “This panel –
actually, the entire conference – will help hospitality
professionals make better decisions for their properties, and
I’m so proud to be part of it.”

Association – which is sponsoring the event along with the
Central Florida Hospitality and Lodging Association, the
Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and Green
Lodging News – said he is excited about the lineup of speakers
and presenters at this year’s conference.
“We expect to
have some of the country’s leading experts on sustainability
issues to discuss how the hospitality industry can become more
environmentally-friendly and save money,” Goren said. “Featured
