About Scott Parisi Green Hotel Team President Bio ProfileSCOTT PARISI CHA, PRESIDENT - a veteran hospitality professional now leading the EcoGreenHotel team. Scott’s background in hospitality and passion for the environment has supported the creation and implementation of branded energy and sustainability programs proven successful in both franchise and independent hotels. Scott served as General Manager of the United States first L.E.E.D. certified and "Environmentally Friendly" Hotel; the Sheraton Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA. Scott advanced from General Manager to specializing in multi property management including experience with major hotel chains, such as Intercontinental, Starwood, Hilton and Choice Hotels.

 

Chris Lewis-Green TeamCHRIS LEWIS, DIRECTOR OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS - a veteran with over 17 years in the hospitality industry both in the U.S. and abroad managing and directing all departments including hotel operations, food and beverage, renovation and construction. Lewis also brings broad experience with Full and Select Service hotels, facility management, property improvement and direct experience with hospitality environmental initiatives, openings and multi-property management to the team. He previously served as Development and Construction Manager at OTO Development. His expertise includes mechanical systems, equipment specs, purchasing habits, standard operating procedures and project management. Lewis was responsible for the "green initiatives" for several properties that successfully qualified to achieve Florida Green Lodging, EcoRooms and EcoSuites, California Green Lodging and Irvine Build Green certifications.

 

GEOFF GROCHMAL SUSTAINABILTY ANALYSTGEOFF GROCHMAL, SUSTAINABILTY ANALYST - Since early 2011 has worked in the Energy Solutions Division, specializing in Energy Star benchmarking. Geoff graduated from The George Washington University with a BA in Economics. Prior to his work at EcoGreenHotel, Geoff had conducted an extensive array of quantitative research – choosing to focus on Californian “green” legislation AB 939 Integrated Waste Management Act for his senior thesis research project. His findings showcased a fundamental link between an area’s wealth and its ability to meet the state’s “green goals.”

 


 

RAY BURGER BOARD ADVISORRAY BURGER, MEMBER OF ADVISORY BOARD- Ray Burger, President and Founder of Pineapple Hospitality, Inc. (Pineapple) , has over 30 years of experience in the lodging industry. In addition, he has provided the Lodging Industry with environmental products, programs and services for over 12 years. He holds a number of certifications, including Certified Hotel Administrator and Master Hotel Supplier. Ray is a columnist for The Rooms Chronicle. He contributes articles on indoor air quality and energy related topics. Pineapple is a vendor partner of the Florida Green Lodging Program, an allied member of Boston Green Tourism, a member of the Green Meeting Industry Council and an Energy Star Partner. In January, 2006 Pineapple launched FreshStay® (www.FreshStay.com) the World’s most comprehensive on line directory of Hotels, Inns and B & B’s featuring Better Indoor Air Quality. In March, 2007 Pineapple Hospitality founded and co-hosted the first Green Hospitality Conference in Dallas, TX. In July, 2007 Pineapple launched EcoRooms & EcoSuites at www.EcoRooms.com a directory featuring the “Greenest Hotels on the Planet”.

 

MARK R. HAHN.MARK R. HAHN, MEMBER OF ADVISORY BOARD - Mark is a business consultant focused on helping companies with financial and strategic planning, and is currently a Managing Director of Brownstein Corporation. He has a broad range of business experience, having served in leadership positions in sales, manufacturing and finance. Mark brings strengths in internal team building, strategic planning, business development and structuring transactions to his role advising the executive team at EcoGreenHotel. He previously served as executive advisor to the CEO of Atlantic Energy Solutions, a publicly held energy performance firm focused on delivering comprehensive energy solutions to the public sector. Prior to entering the energy field, Mark held senior management and consulting roles in the printing and digital media industry, including CFO-CIO of FLM Graphics Corporation and was founder ofhis own printing company.He is a graduate of Ramapo College of NJ, where he earned B.S. degrees in Business Administration and Environmental Sciences, with a concentration on energy efficiency and solar energy design.He designed and built one of the first solar heated structures in New Jersey, a greenhouse demonstrating both passive and active heating systems. Mark has authored several articles on financial turnaround strategies and has served as a volunteer for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA), providing oversight to the NJ Family Court on behalf of abused children.
